Security and Espionage Awareness: Learn to Recognise Threats Before They Become Incidents Registration closes: 17-06-2026 23.55
How do you protect your startup against espionage, information leakage, social engineering and insider threats — without making security heavy, overly technical or disconnected from everyday work?
On 24–25 June, we invite you to a two-day, in-person workshop in Copenhagen aimed at startups and growth companies seeking a practical and realistic introduction to modern security and espionage threats.
The workshop provides participants with a concrete understanding of how foreign actors, competitors or other interested parties may attempt to gather information, influence employees or exploit weaknesses in organisational behaviour and security culture. The focus is not on technology, but on people, behaviour, awareness and organisational resilience.
Through presentations, cases, dialogue and practical scenarios, we explore what espionage and information gathering can look like in practice, how to recognise suspicious behaviour, and how to respond appropriately when something does not feel right.
The workshop is relevant for leaders, founders, key employees and others who handle sensitive knowledge, relationships, technology, data, customers or strategic business information.
You will work with, among other things:
- how espionage and security threats can affect startups and growth companies
- how insider threats, social engineering and elicitation work in practice
- how to protect yourself and your organisation digitally, while travelling and during visits
- how information leakage can occur through everyday behaviour and informal conversations
- how to build a stronger security culture without creating mistrust
- concrete scenarios that train your ability to identify and respond to suspicious behaviour
The workshop is facilitated by Inside Risk Consulting and Torben Kabel, who bring many years of experience in human intelligence, counterintelligence, insider threats and practical espionage awareness training.
Join us if you want to strengthen your organisation’s ability to protect knowledge, relationships and business-critical information — and become better at spotting the small signals before they develop into major problems.
