Voucher for travel, fair tickets and similar activities
Beyond Beta covers 80% of your expenses for purchasing event/trade fair tickets, accommodation, booth rental and travel costs by plane or train up to DKK 15,000 per startup. Any expenses over DKK 15,000 we can’t cover.
We can only cover your expenses if you have completed a market validation and can document it. This must be done prior to purchase, and the market validation must be approved by the secretariat before the purchase can be made. Yes, these are the rules because Beyond Beta is funded by the EU Social Fund.
But we have made it easy for you! Follow this step-by-step guide to apply, create task descriptions, obtain market validation, receive approval, and then submit your expenses. We will generally refund your costs within a maximum of two weeks.
Note: Please be aware that a Danish CVR number is required to apply for a voucher.
Step-by-step guide to applying for a voucher!
Application for voucher
To get started, you need to submit an application in which you describe your company and the activity(s) you wish to apply for a voucher for. The Beyond Beta team reviews your application and either approves or rejects it. Once you have received final approval, it is time to make a market search.
Final Disbursement of the Subsidy
To receive the subsidy payment, it is a requirement that you have conducted a market search prior to making the purchase. This is necessary because your company receives public funds through this voucher. When public funds are granted, it must be ensured that the money is used responsibly and in an economically sound manner.
This means that purchases must be made on market terms. When selecting a supplier, you must evaluate the supplier based on price and the overall quality of the service. You are not required to choose the cheapest option, but you must be able to explain why you selected the supplier and demonstrate that it is a reasonable choice in accordance with prevailing market conditions regarding price, quality, and service.
A Market Search May Include, for Example:
- I have checked at least two providers’ websites to compare prices.
- I have explored the market by phone and found the best option for the price.
- I have obtained quotes from at least two potential suppliers by email or phone (remember to keep a phone note).
- I have advertised for quotes on my own or another website.
Please note that we may request an explanation of the market search process used in connection with possible spot checks by the Danish Business Authority.
Submitting Expenses
Once you have made your purchase, it is time to upload your payment documents. If everything is in order, you will receive your grant within a maximum of two weeks. Please note that processing times may be longer during holidays and similar periods.
For more details on how the process works in the system, please refer to the guide 'System Manual for the Voucher Process'.
