2. PRESENTATION OF THE ISSUING ORGANIZATION:
Food & Bio Cluster Denmark is the national cluster for food and bioresources in Denmark. The organization supports innovation and sustainable development and facilitates collaboration between startups, corporates, and investors.
With a network of more than 500 startups and participation in Denmark’s largest accelerator, Beyond Beta, the cluster focuses on commercialization and internationalization of solutions within foodtech, agtech, and biosolutions.

 
3. DESCRIPTION OF THE TASK UNDER MARKET EXPLORATION:
From small peptides (GLP‑1s) to large polypeptides (alternative proteins), recombinant proteins (RP) are a critical platform technology in human and planetary health, with both mature and fast‑growing multibillion‑dollar market segments. Across all these industries, there is an urgent need to increase the efficiency of RP manufacturing in order to expand supply and reduce cost.

Yoke Bio is developing a novel modular genetic system that redirects yeast metabolism towards protein synthesis, significantly increasing recombinant protein yields while reducing CoGS and resource consumption across the pharmaceutical, enzyme, and food biotechnology sectors. Yoke is currently working toward achieving a minimal proof of concept by the end of April 2026.

 4. OBJECTIVES AND SUCCESS CRITERIA:
Yoke intends to operate under a licensing‑based business model. This requires:

• A sharp understanding of industrial recombinant protein manufacturing processes
• Insight into current industry practices, bottlenecks, and decision cycles 
• Access to a broad network of potential customers and strategic stakeholders

To achieve this, Yoke requires specialized sparring on commercial strategy, including:

• How to position a metabolic‑rewiring expression system in established RP value chains
• How to identify and prioritize early adopter segments
• How to navigate partnerships, pilots, and licensing pathways
• How to map key trends in biomanufacturing and the competitive landscape
• What strategic steps maximize the likelihood of industrial uptake post‑PoC
• Yoke therefore seeks Beyond Beta consultancy support focused specifically on strategic advisory within industrial biotechnology, commercial positioning, and partnership strategy.

The requested consultancy support is estimated at 2 hours per week over 12–16 weeks starting mid april 2026. 

5. BUDGET AND PROPOSAL SPECIFICATION:
Budget: 30.000DKK ex. VAT

Deadline for submission:  30th of March

Expected project start: mid April 2026

The proposal must include:

• Brief presentation of the bidder incl. references from similar assignments
• Suggested team and approach
• Price and hourly rate
• Any applicable discounts
• Overall timeline
• Assumptions and conditions
• Contract template

The agreement will be entered into between FBCD A/S (Food & Bio Cluster Denmark) and the selected bidder/consultant.

This call is part of a requirement for sound financial management and documentation of market pricing.
Only proposals for the requested advisory service will be accepted. Implementation and execution services are not included.
