2.    PRESENTATION OF THE ISSUING ORGANIZATION:
Food & Bio Cluster Denmark is the national cluster for food and bioresources in Denmark. The organization supports innovation and sustainable development and facilitates collaboration between startups, corporates, and investors. 

With a network of over 500 startups and participation in Denmark’s largest accelerator, Beyond Beta, the cluster focuses on commercialization and internationalization of solutions within foodtech, agtech, and biosolutions.

3.    DESCRIPTION OF THE TASK UNDER MARKET EXPLORATION:

Pureon Energy is developing an AI‑based platform for analysing and optimising energy consumption in companies and buildings. The platform uses advanced data analytics and algorithms to identify opportunities for optimisation, helping reduce both costs and CO₂ emissions. The technology has the potential to create significant value as rising energy prices, climate requirements, and digitalisation increase the demand for intelligent energy‑management solutions. To unlock the commercial potential, a structured market analysis is needed, along with the development of a clear go‑to‑market strategy and a compelling investment narrative.

Purpose of the advisory services 

The purpose of the advisory process is to strengthen the company’s own understanding of the market and the commercial opportunities for Pureon Energy. Through strategic sparring and analytical input, the consultant should spare with Pureon Energy to: 

  • qualifying the company’s assessment of the market potential
  • identifying relevant customer segments
  • strengthening the understanding of customer needs and decision‑making processes
  • qualifying the company’s go‑to‑market considerations
  • providing input to a potential investment angle
  • helping the company prioritise its next strategic steps and the plan for executing them

The advisory services are intended to help build internal competencies and provide management with a stronger foundation for making decisions related to market strategy, partnerships, and future fundraising.

Content of the assignment

The advisory process will consist of strategic sparring, analytical input, and workshops between the company and the consultant on. The consultant will sparre with the Pureon Energy team on: 

  • Market analysis: on the market for energy optimisation and energy‑data solutions, including trends, competitors, and relevant industries.
  • Customer and segment analysis: Input for identifying the customer types where Pureon Energy can create the most value, as well as insights into buying processes and key decision‑makers.
  • Commercial positioning: Sparring on the company’s value proposition and positioning in the market.
  • Go‑to‑market strategy: Strategic dialogue on pathways to the first customers, potential partners, and distribution channels.
  • Investor perspective: Input on how Pureon Energy can be positioned toward investors and which milestones will be relevant prior to fundraising.
  • Strategic prioritisation: Sparring on the company’s priorities and next steps over the coming 12–18 months.

4.    Expected outcome

The advisory process will result in a set of strategic inputs and recommendations that the company can use in the further development of Pureon Energy, including:

  • a summary of market insights
  • identification of relevant customer segments
  • a go‑to‑market strategy
  • perspectives on investment opportunities
  • recommendations for the next strategic steps

5.    BUDGET AND PROPOSAL SPECIFICATION

Budget: 54.000 DKK excluding VAT. 

Deadline for submission: 30th of March through the link below. 

Expected project start: mid april 2026

The proposal must be in Danish or English and include:

  • Brief presentation of the bidder incl. references from similar assignments
  • Suggested team and approach
  • Price and hourly rate
  • Any applicable discounts
  • Overall timeline
  • Assumptions and conditions (contract template for FBCD A/S to sign)
  • The agreement will be entered into between FBCD A/S (Food & Bio Cluster Denmark) and the selected bidder/consultant.

6.    BACKGROUND FOR THE CALL:

This call is part of a requirement for sound financial management and documentation of market pricing.
