Submit offer Consultant for Accounting, VAT, and Financial Reporting Support

The Beyond Beta program supports the Danish startup ecosystem from the initial idea to investment and scaling by providing founders with the right network, knowledge, and navigation tools.

Danish Life Science Cluster acts as a mentor organization for start-ups within life science and welfare technology.

As part of the Beyond Beta program, we are inviting proposals for accounting consultancy services to assist founders in building stronger competencies in bookkeeping and payroll management, VAT calculations and reporting, and preparation and submission of annual financial reports.

The purpose of this engagement is to help early-stage companies establish reliable and compliant financial processes that support long-term growth, investor readiness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Criteria for Advisory Services

The consultancy will consist of quarterly learning and advisory sessions throughout 2026, each involving approximately 4–5 hours of guidance and sparring on accounting processes.
In total, the engagement includes approximately 20 hours of consultancy support for the year.

The sessions may be delivered online or in person, depending on availability and requirements.

All documentation, guidance, and communication must be provided in English.

Scope of Work

The consultant will provide advisory and training support in the following areas, with a focus on building internal competencies so that the tasks can be performed by the organization itself:

1. Bookkeeping and Payroll Support

• Guiding participants in how to perform quarterly bookkeeping tasks for 2026, including review and feedback on their work.
• Providing instruction and practical advice on how to handle payroll processing, including updates on relevant regulations.
• Advising on how to set up and maintain procedures that support compliant financial reporting and internal bookkeeping.

2. VAT Calculations and Reporting

• Teaching participants how to calculate VAT obligations each quarter and reviewing the applied methods for accuracy.
• Providing guidance on how to prepare and submit quarterly VAT reports.
• Advising on how to interpret VAT-related rules and stay updated on regulatory changes, enabling internal handling of compliance issues.

3. Annual Financial Reporting Guidance

• Providing step-by-step guidance on how to prepare the annual report for 2026, including required data and structure.
• Advising on how to ensure that reporting complies with Danish accounting standards and submission requirements.
• Recommending improvements to internal financial reporting and documentation processes to strengthen long-term capabilities.

Budget
The task should be completed as a fixed-price offer covering all the consultant’s expenses related to the task.
The budget for the tender is a maximum of DKK 30,000, excluding VAT.

The consultant must clearly indicate the price with reference to roles, specialties, and experiences in the solution description, as well as the employees (consultants) and the organization they are part of.
Expenses for subcontractors must be included in the fixed-price offer. 

Deadline for Submission of Proposals
The deadline for submission of proposals is the 27th of November 2025.
