2. PRESENTATION OF COMPANY
FlowMinerals (DK early-stage startup) is developing an electrochemical process for extracting dissolved CO₂ and mineral products from seawater. The technology enables permanent carbon removal through mineralization while producing fossil-free mineral materials.
The technology is intended for deployment in large-scale industrial environments such as ports, desalination plants and industrial water systems, and may enable multiple commercial pathways including carbon removal, mineral production and technology licensing.
FlowMinerals has already filed a PCT patent application (patent pending) covering the core electrochemical process and mineral formation pathway. The application can be accessed here.
The company is now preparing for the next phase of its intellectual property strategy, including international patent filings and broader IP positioning across key markets.
3. DESCRIPTION OF THE TASK
The purpose of this assignment is to provide FlowMinerals with clear guidance and skills on the next steps in developing its intellectual property protection following the existing PCT application.
The advisory should enable FlowMinerals to
· understand the most relevant next IP actions
· prioritize future patent filings or other IP measures
· understand expected costs and timelines
· define an overall IP strategy aligned with technology development and commercialization
The advisory may include, but is not limited to
· review of the existing PCT application and current claim scope
· recommendations for international patent filings in relevant jurisdictions (such as EU, United States, Canada, Japan and selected Middle Eastern markets)
· identification of potential additional patent opportunities or continuation filings
· high-level freedom-to-operate considerations
· recommendations for building a broader IP strategy supporting future partnerships, licensing or technology deployment
Bidders are encouraged to propose additional relevant analyses or recommendations if considered useful for establishing a robust intellectual property strategy for FlowMinerals taking into consideration our status as early-stage startup.
The expected output is workshops, dialogues, and a short written advisory outlining recommended next steps, priorities, and indicative costs.
4. TASK OBJECTIVES AND SUCCESS CRITERIA
The objective of the task is to provide FlowMinerals with a clear and actionable understanding of how to proceed with its intellectual property protection.
Success criteria include
· clear recommendations on international patent strategy
· identification of additional patentable elements
· overview of key IP risks and opportunities
· a prioritized IP roadmap aligned with FlowMinerals’ technology development and commercialization plans
The task should support FlowMinerals in making informed decisions regarding future patent filings and IP investments.
5. BUDGET OG SPECIFICATION OF AN OFFER:
We expect a written offer to include at least:

6. BACKGROUND FOR THE TENDER:
Beyond Beta is subject to a number of requirements for good, healthy financial management, including documentation that the agreed price for external purchases is an expression of the market price. This tender is part of these requirements.

The winning bid is chosen based on an assessment of the best correlation between price and quality
