Request for Proposal: Sound Tech Mentor for Beyond Beta Accelerator
Beyond Beta is seeking a supplier to join our mentor corps and provide commercial sparring and strategic mentorship for 4 current (and future) startups within the sound tech sector. The selected supplier will collaborate with a mentor from a Danish Business Hub to deliver business-oriented guidance focused on commercialization and market growth throughout the accelerator program.
Scope of Work
The supplier will:
- Conduct bi-weekly or monthly commercial sparring sessions with sound tech startups currently enrolled in Beyond Beta (4 companies at present). Responsibilities include:
Scheduling and maintaining meeting cadence
Coordinating with both the startup and the Business Hub mentor
Preparing, following up, and debriefing with the Business Hub mentor
- Actively participate in physical and online camps and other program activities alongside assigned startups
- Provide access to a relevant network of potential customers, partners, corporates, and investors to accelerate commercialization
- Ensure startups gain access to specialized advisory services (e.g., IPR, legal, sales). A separate budget per company is allocated for these services; the supplier will help identify needs and collaborate with project management to deploy funds effectively
- Track and report time registration: Each startup must log 400 hours of accelerator activities. The supplier is responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance for assigned startups
Supplier Commitments
The supplier must be willing to:
- Invest time to understand the Beyond Beta methodology, tools, and activities
- Build relationships with Beyond Beta partners and participating startups
- Comply with EU-funded program regulations, including participant time registration (support provided by project management)
- Attend monthly status meetings with Beyond Beta partners and quarterly meetings with project managemen
- Participate in physical kick-offs and events such as TechBBQ in Copenhagen

Beyond Beta is Denmark’s largest accelerator for startups aiming to scale nationally and internationally while securing pre-seed funding. The program offers:
- Mentorship: Each startup is paired with an industry-specific mentor and a regional Business Hub mentor
- Founder Development: Camps and workshops on growth, leadership, and market strategy
- Events & Networking: Kick-off events, TechBBQ participation, and access to industry-specific gatherings
- Participation is free but requires commitment. The program is flexible and can last up to one year.
Supplier Profile
We seek a supplier with:
- Deep, practical expertise in commercial development and go-to-market strategies for early-stage sound tech companies
- A strong, relevant network of potential customers, partners, corporates, and investors
Ability to start engagements promptly after contract signing
Budget
- Per company: DKK 85,500 excl. VAT (covering all activities for up to one year)
- Total for 4 companies: DKK 342,000 excl. VAT (covering all activities for up to one year)
- Additional recruitment support: DKK 8,100 per company for screening and onboarding
- Extra hours beyond agreed scope: DKK 900/hour excl. VAT
Proposal Requirements

- A brief presentation of your experience, results, competencies, and references – with emphasis on commercial sparring for startups
