 3. DESCRIPTION OF THE TASK DURING MARKET COVERAGE: 

We are seeking a professional feasibility check for our mechanical design with an emphasis on the upgrade of the IP (Ingress Protection) level and obtaining detailed feedback on our side-panel exchange system. The task includes the following key areas:

Mechanical design evaluation of Dubby 2.0 including consultancy and advice within the outlined areas described below:

- Mechanical design evaluation.

Feasibility Check of Mechanical Design:
Evaluate the current mechanical construction of Dubby, focusing on the robustness of the housing and the interchangeability of side panels. The review should identify any potential issues regarding structural integrity, durability, and manufacturability.

- Mechanical stress testing.

- Design for manufacturing evaluation and proposals.

- Ingress protection evaluation and improvement proposals.

Provide recommendations for modification of an Upgrade of IP Level:
Assess the current design’s ingress protection rating and provide recommendations for modifications to achieve a higher IP level. This should involve a thorough analysis of seals, housing design, and material selection to ensure improved resistance against dust and water ingress.

- Industrial design for exchangeable side panels. 

·         Feedback on Side-Panel Exchange System:
Critically review the mechanism and design of the side-panel exchange system. The evaluation should cover the ease of use, reliability, and potential for damage during repeated exchanges. We are interested in suggestions for design refinements or alternative approaches that can further enhance the user experience while maintaining manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.

The quote should detail the methods to be used, the deliverables expected, and a timeline for completion.

4. TASK GOALS AND SUCCESS CRITERIA: 

The purpose of the assignment is to get an evaluation of the mechanical design of Dubby version 2.0 and to expand our knowledge on any matter in need of adjustment before looking to scale up production. We also need advice and consultancy of design for manufacturing and design features such as exchangeable side panels.   

Specific objectives and success criteria include:

·         Objective 1: Validate Mechanical Integrity and Manufacturability

Success Criteria:

o    A comprehensive report demonstrating that the current design can endure operational stresses and repeated use over its projected lifecycle.

o    Identification of any design modifications needed for improved robustness and simplified manufacturing.

·         Objective 2: Enhance IP Rating

Success Criteria:

o    Clear recommendations and design modifications required to upgrade the product’s ingress protection rating.

·         Objective 3: Optimize the Side-Panel Exchange System

Success Criteria:

o    Evaluation of the current system with documented feedback on usability and durability.

o    Proposed design improvements that minimize wear, simplify user operation, and maintain a balance between customizability and structural integrity.

By meeting these objectives, Componental ApS aims to ensure that Dubby not only meets the necessary technical and industrial standards but also provides a superior experience to both end users and manufacturing partners.

This will enable us to go to the next phase in finalizing design for mass production.

The consultation must be held during May 2025 and end latest in mid-June 2025.

The consultation must be within a total budget of 23,000 DKK excl. VAT.5. 

BUDGET AND BID SPECIFICATION: 

We expect that the written offer contains at least: 

• Date of submission of offer 

• A brief presentation of the offeror, stating the CVR number and contact information.

• Provider's proposal for solving the task 

• Indication of the price for solving the task 

• Any discount 

• Expected schedule 

• Any prerequisites for the offer 

6. BACKGROUND FOR THE TENDER: 

Beyond Beta is subject to a number of requirements for good, healthy financial management, including documentation that the agreed price for external purchases is an expression of the market price. This tender is part of these requirements.
