2. PRESENTATION OF COMPANY
ExoGenis ApS is a Denmark-registered biotechnology company developing dissolving microneedle technology for delivery of cosmetic and biologically active formulations to the skin.
The company has completed early technical work on microneedle coating, biologic payloads and ex vivo evaluation. This work has provided useful initial data but has also shown that further investment should be based on a clearer understanding of the underlying microneedle architecture, material system and compatibility with the intended application.
ExoGenis is therefore evaluating whether an existing microneedle technology platform from an experienced Korean manufacturing and R&D partner can provide a stronger technical basis for the next development phase.

3. DESCRIPTION OF THE TASK
The work will evaluate whether a qualified Korean manufacturing/R&D partner’s microneedle technology platform can provide a technically suitable basis for ExoGenis’ next development phase.
Rather than continuing directly with further experiments on the previous bespoke development route, the project will assess existing microneedle architectures and supporting technical data to determine which platform is best suited to ExoGenis’ intended application and future R&D pathway.
The project should allow ExoGenis to understand:
● which microneedle architecture is technically most suitable;
● which technical characteristics and data are already available;
● which gaps remain before further development;
● whether the platform can support future adaptation to additional payloads; and
● where further R&D resources should be focused.
The proposed work should include:
● technical review and comparison of relevant microneedle patch formats and architectures;
● recommendation of the most suitable product architecture for ExoGenis’ intended application;
● preparation of non-commercial R&D evaluation samples;
● technical data package covering microneedle structure, geometry, matrix composition, active ingredients, dissolution profile and use conditions;
● review of available technical, safety, stability, microbiology and quality data;
● identification of key technical limitations, evidence gaps and questions requiring further investigation;
● assessment of the platform’s potential for future payload development, including PDRN and exosome-related formulations; and
● written go/no-go recommendation and proposed next R&D steps.
The samples provided under this assignment must be understood as non-commercial R&D evaluation samples, not commercial inventory, launch stock or products for resale.
4. TASK OBJECTIVES AND SUCCESS CRITERIA
The objective of the task is to determine whether an existing, technically established microneedle platform can provide a stronger basis for ExoGenis’ development than continuing directly with further bespoke laboratory experiments.
The task will be considered successfully completed when ExoGenis has received:
● a comparative technical assessment of relevant microneedle formats;
● a technically justified recommendation of the preferred architecture;
● non-commercial R&D evaluation samples;
● an available technical and supporting data package;
● a clear assessment of technical gaps and future payload potential; and
● a written go/no-go recommendation with proposed next R&D steps.
5. BUDGET AND SPECIFICATION OF AN OFFER
We expect a written offer to include at least:
● date of submission of offer;
● brief presentation of the bidder, including company registration number and contact details;
● relevant experience in dissolving microneedle technology and R&D;
● bidder’s proposal for solving the task;
● description of the technical information and evaluation samples to be provided;
● specification of the price for solving the task;including discount, if relevant;
● timeframe and end date; and
● conditions for the offer, if any.
The budget for the assignment is capped at DKK 43,000 excluding VAT.
If the full scope cannot be completed within the available budget, the bidder should prioritise the activities that provide the greatest reduction of technical uncertainty.
6. BACKGROUND FOR THE TENDER
ExoGenis has previously pursued a laboratory-based R&D route involving microneedle coating, exosome-related formulations and ex vivo testing.
The initial work has generated useful information, but it has also shown that continuing with further isolated experiments before confirming the most suitable underlying microneedle architecture may not be the most effective next R&D step.
The revised project therefore addresses an earlier and more fundamental technical question: whether an existing microneedle technology platform, supported by established technical know-how and existing data, can provide a stronger basis for ExoGenis’ future development.
Compared with the previous laboratory-based scope, this approach is expected to provide a broader technical basis for decision-making by combining architecture assessment, R&D samples, existing platform data, identification of evidence gaps and assessment of future payload potential.
The output will allow ExoGenis to define subsequent experimental work more precisely and avoid further investment in a technical route before its suitability has been established.
This task therefore replaces the type of technical/R&D feasibility work originally expected through the BioIVT route, while remaining focused on technical assessment, reduction of R&D uncertainty and definition of the most appropriate next development steps.
Beyond Beta is subject to requirements for good financial management, including documentation that the agreed price for external purchases reflects the market price. This tender forms part of those requirements.

The winning bid will be selected based on the best correlation between price and quality.
