Food & Bio Cluster Denmark is the national cluster organisation for food and bioresources in Denmark. The organization supports innovation and sustainable growth and facilitates collaboration between startups, corporates, investors, and research institutions.

With a network of more than 500 startups and active participation in Denmark’s largest accelerator, Beyond Beta, Food & Bio Cluster Denmark focuses on commercialization, regulatory readiness, and internationalisation of solutions within foodtech, agtech, and biosolutions.

 
DESCRIPTION OF THE TASK UNDER MARKET EXPLORATION

GreenCow Biosolutions A/S is an innovative biosolutions startup developing a novel feed additive for dairy cattle with the purpose of reducing methane emissions while improving protein efficiency and milk yield. The solution is based on the use of Methylococcus capsulatus biomass and oxygen released in the rumen.

The task concerns strategic regulatory and market advisory only, aimed at assisting GreenCow Bio clarify and compare potential authorisation pathways for the product in the European Union and the United States. The assignment focuses on regulatory positioning, strategic route selection, risk identification, and high‑level market access considerations.

All activities must be strictly limited to advisory and consultancy services.
Execution, implementation, dossier preparation, regulatory submissions, studies, authority meetings, or other operational activities are explicitly excluded from the scope.

 
OBJECTIVES AND SUCCESS CRITERIA

The objectives of the assignment are to help and spare with team GreenCow Bio on :

• The regulatory classification and potential authorisation pathways for GreenCow’s feed additive in the EU and the US
• Provide an advisory comparison of regulatory routes (e.g. EU feed additive authorisation; US GRAS, animal food additive, or animal drug pathways), including strategic pros and cons
• Identify key regulatory risks, data gaps, and strategic considerations based on current legislation, guidance, and relevant benchmark products
• Provide indicative timelines and high-level market access considerations to support decision‑making
  Success criteria

The assignment is considered successful when GreenCow are able to do informed internal decision‑making on regulatory strategy and next steps.

The proposal must include:

Brief presentation of the bidder, including references from similar advisory assignments
Suggested advisory team and approach
Pricing structure and hourly rates
Any applicable discounts
Overall advisory timeline
Assumptions and conditions (contract template)
The agreement will be entered into between FBCD A/S (Food & Bio Cluster Denmark) and the selected consultancy provider.

This call is part of Food & Bio Cluster Denmark’s requirement for sound financial management and documentation of market pricing.

Only proposals covering the requested advisory and consultancy services will be accepted.
Any form of implementation, execution, testing, dossier preparation, regulatory submission, or direct authority interaction falls outside the scope of this call and must not be included in the offer.
