2.    PRESENTATION OF THE ISSUING ORGANIZATION:
Food & Bio Cluster Denmark is the national cluster for food and bioresources in Denmark. The organization supports innovation and sustainable development and facilitates collaboration between startups, corporates, and investors. 

With a network of over 500 startups and participation in Denmark’s largest accelerator, Beyond Beta, the cluster focuses on commercialization and internationalization of solutions within foodtech, agtech, and biosolutions.

3.    DESCRIPTION OF THE TASK UNDER MARKET EXPLORATION:

SquidInk is a fishing industry startup that is part of Beyond Beta and aiming to enter the Swedish market. There is initial interest from the Gothenburg Fish Auction but to support a successful market entry, Food & Bio Cluster Denmark wishes to offer an advisory program that supports the SquidInk team in gathering: 

Market & stakeholder insights (75%) – help the SquidInk team in

·         Identify key pain points and opportunities among Swedish first buyers (auction houses) and fishermen.

·         Explore existing digital tools in use and identify potential gaps or complementary solutions.

·         Identifying added-value features (e.g. visualising catch data and fishing areas) and support the SquidInk team in getting product feedback from Swedish auction houses and fishermen. 

·         Provide clear, original insights and recommendations for SquidInk’s product and market positioning.

Regulatory context & collaboration opportunities (25%)

·         Map relevant Swedish regulatory frameworks and authorities involved in fisheries data collection and reporting.

·         Assess opportunities for collaboration with authorities or institutions to strengthen compliance and integration of SquidInk’s solution.

·         Examine how digital tools could support compliance with upcoming EU catch reporting requirements

4.    OBJECTIVES AND SUCCESS CRITERIA:

The focus will be for the SquidInk team to gain original insights in the Swedish fishing industry in order to understand the landscape, and possible how it differs from the Danish scene, and what our positioning will be in this market. 

Objectives of the collaboration will be to enable the SquidInk team to: 

·         Provide actionable insights into the Swedish fish auction ecosystem and related stakeholders.

·         Identify key user needs and workflow dynamics to inform product design and positioning.

·         Establish relevant contacts within Swedish auction houses, fishermen’s associations, and regulatory bodies.

·         Contribute to SquidInk’s go-to-market strategy for Sweden.

5.    BUDGET AND PROPOSAL SPECIFICATION

Budget: 4,000 Euros (DKK 30,000)

Deadline for submission: 15th of January 2026 through the link below. 

Expected project start: Start/mid February 2026

The proposal must include:
• Brief presentation of the bidder incl. references from similar assignments
• Suggested team and approach
• Price and hourly rate
• Any applicable discounts
• Overall timeline
• Assumptions and conditions (contract template)

The agreement will be entered into between FBCD A/S (Food & Bio Cluster Denmark) and the selected bidder/consultant.

6.    BACKGROUND FOR THE CALL:

This call is part of a requirement for sound financial management and documentation of market pricing.
Only proposals for the requested advisory service will be accepted. Implementation and execution services are not included.
